Russian Tourist Visa (Type T)
Russia requires a tourist visa for Indian nationals. Unlike most destinations, you need a tourist invitation (voucher) from an accredited Russian hotel or travel agency before applying. The Russian e-Visa system covers certain entry points and provides simpler access for shorter stays. Biometrics are taken at the consulate. Get a tourist voucher and confirmation letter from an accredited Russian hotel or Explera (we coordinate with our Russian partners). This is mandatory and must be submitted with your application.
Purchase travel/medical insurance valid for the entire duration of your Russia visit. Must have minimum USD 30,000 emergency medical cover and be issued by an approved insurer.
Fill the visa application form online at visa.kdmid.ru. Print, sign, and prepare along with all supporting documents.
Book appointment at the Russian Embassy (New Delhi) or Consulate General (Mumbai). Biometrics are collected during the appointment.
Attend appointment with all documents. Fingerprints and photo are collected. Pay visa fee. Processing begins from this date.
Visa collection in 10–20 working days. Verify: entry/exit dates, number of entries (single/double), and cities of entry listed.
